Linden Hills is a neighborhood in Minneapolis’ Southwest area “a small town in the City”. “Linden Hills is the ideal in urban living offering interesting boutique shops, unique restaurants and a variety of parks with tennis courts, playgrounds and picnic areas.”
“Lake Harriet and Lake Calhoun are an easy walk from Linden Hill’s (downtown) shopping district at 43rd. & Upton. At either lake you can swim, enjoy a walk or bike/rollerblade on paths that connect you to the Grand Rounds National Scenic Byway. With over 50 miles of public pathways, it’s a great way to enjoy our chain of lakes, parks and the Minnehaha creek parkway on to the Mississippi River road. You’re sure to find it easy to make a day of it!”
One of the things I noticed while driving through Linden Hills is how the homes are influenced by the Calhoun Isles neighborhood as you move farther north at about 40th Street. Edina is the west neighbor to Linden Hills, accross France Avenue. There’s also a blend of Edina and Minneapolis along this corridor. Even though Edina is a younger community it feels like you’re in Edina in part of the neighborhood.
