P90x – Week 1 Results

I finished week one of P90x and noticed some muscles are very strong while others couldn’t cut the mustard. My legs especially didn’t last very long. Although, my upper body felt it could do quiet a bit with the few exceptions with the smaller muscles in the back and shoulders. Here’s  how it broke down for me…

  • Day 1: Chest, Back, Ab Ripper - Was able to do the majority of the workout. Ab Ripper X was a different story. I might have to do some different ab workouts until I can work up to this.
  • Day 2: Plyometrics – Not enough leg strength to get half way through the routine
  • Day 3: Shoulders & Arms - Strong arms. Some of the smaller shoulder muscles held me back.
  • Day 4: Yoga – Evidently I have no flexibility. This will take some time to master especially the last half where they start doing advanced stances.
  • Day 5: Legs & Back – I was able to get half way through before my legs tired out.
  • Day 6: Kenpo – I finished this at about half the speed. The most difficult part was trying to stay coordinated when throwing punches and kicks.
