Area Summary
Highland Park is a mix of well maintained older housing, commercial, retail and light industrial buildings. Boardered by Randolph Avenue on the North, Interstate 35 E on the East, the Minnesota River on the South and Mississippi River on the West. The neighborhood is home to the public Highland Park Senior High School and the private Cretin-Derham Hall High School. Nearby communities include Minneapolis, Richfield, Eagan and Mendota Heights.

Ford Parkway & Cleveland Avenue to St. Paul Avenue & Edgecumbe Road
The intersection of Ford and Cleveland is a main intersection in the Highland Area with shopping, grocery food and services. South onto St. Paul Avenue there is multi-family housing and a fairly new town home complex built. The majority of homes in this area are early 1900s up to about 1960 with or with out an attached garage, otherwise some are accessible through the alley.
St. Catherine’s University to Cretin Avenue and North to Interstate 94
The majority of housing near St. Catherines is rental property. Either single family homes or small multi-family homes. Majority of homes are built in the early 1900s. Cretin and Randolph, which runs in front of St. Catherines are main roads through this part of town. Cretin also crosses two there major roads in St. Paul, Grand Avenue and Summit Avenue. North on Cretin Avenue is The University of St. Thomas and Town & Country Club. Additional housing on Cretin Avenue includes apartment buildings with approximately 12 – 20 units. The majority of Real Estate in this area was built very early 1900s.
